The International Welcome Center (IWC) is the first point of contact for international students entering Washington County Public Schools. We're here to support families new to Washington County Public Schools with personalized services and resources. Whether you speak English, Spanish, or French, we're dedicated to bridging language and cultural barriers to ensure every student's success.

When to contact the IWC:

• If your family needs language support

• If your enrollment form indicates a language other than English spoken

• When enrolling a student from a non-English speaking country or a region with ESL needs

• If transferring from another Maryland county or state with ESL, ESOL, EL, LEP, or ELL records
