Claud E. Kitchens Outdoor School at Fairview

The Claud E Kitchens Outdoor School at Fairview is under the jurisdiction of Washington County Public Schools – serving students from pre-k through 12.

OUR VISION
We believe children should experience a safe, healthful, outdoor educational setting in which to develop a sense of community, independence, and appreciation for, and understanding of, the environment.

5th Grade – FAIRVIEW Day Trip Program

During the school year, lessons will be taught at Fairview during three consecutive days trips, with an extended day to include a campfire and dinner.  Students will participate in hands-on, outdoor experiences with our staff.

Help the Environment with Rain Barrels!

Rain barrels are a simple, effective way to reduce rainwater runoff — a major cause of pollution in our local waterways. Runoff carries fertilizers, pesticides, and other contaminants into streams and rivers, but collecting roof water in a rain barrel helps prevent this.

Not only does this protect the environment, it also gives you free water to use on your lawn, garden, or indoor plants. It’s conservation that saves you money!

As part of our Green School Initiative, our school is selling rain barrels to the community. This fundraiser supports both our programs and a healthier environment.
