High School Interscholastic Athletics
Interscholastic athletics is an integral part of the high school student’s total educational experience. WCPS students have opportunities to participate in 19 sports with 28 teams in a gender-balanced program.
The WCPS athletic program operates under the jurisdiction of the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) and the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
- Boonsboro High School
- Clear Spring High School
- Hancock Middle Senior High School
- North Hagerstown High School

All WCPS high schools also compete in the MPSSAA District 1, which includes public high schools from Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett and Washington Counties.
