Flexible Spending Accounts

Washington County Public Schools offers employees the opportunity to contribute pretax dollars to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) used to pay for qualifying expenses. Depending on the type of FSA, those expenses might include childcare or medical costs that are not covered by health, dental, or vision insurance. For a complete explanation, including a list of what is covered, review the FSA Employee Guide.

Our vendor is Flexible Benefit Administrators (FBA) and they have helpful information on their website.  The Plan Year for FSA is the same as your health insurance (July 1 - June 30º. It’s important to carefully consider how much you will incur in expenses during this time frame.
