Medical Absence
Sometimes events in our life prevent us from being on the job for periods of time, and this page contains information to help you navigate these types of situations. You may qualify for Family Medical Leave (FMLA), which is job protected unpaid leave for up to 12 weeks.

If you need to be out of work for more than 5 days, notify the Human Resources Benefits team of your upcoming absence by logging a case in the HUB. The Quick Guide on the right provides instructions on how to log a case. If you are already absent, please email or call 301-766-2810 for assistance.
The Benefits team will determine if you qualify for FMLA, and if not, determine if your eligible for another type of leave of absence. Please be aware that medical related absences are doctor driven, and documentation will be required.
