Medical Absence
This page contains information to help you navigate medical related leave of absence requests. You may qualify for Family Medical Leave (FMLA), which is job protected unpaid leave for up to 12 weeks.

If you need to be off of work for more than 5 days, please notify your supervisor and the HR Benefits team of your upcoming absence by logging a case in the HUB. You must be on the WCPS network to log a case. The Quick Guide on the right provides instructions on how to log a case. If you are already absent, please email or call 301-766-2810 for assistance.
The HR Benefits team will determine if you qualify for FMLA, and if not, determine if your eligible for another type of leave of absence. Please be aware that medical related absences are doctor driven, and documentation will be required.
