Attendance Area Recommendations
The Washington County Board of Education (WCBOE) is currently considering proposed changes to multiple school attendance zones in preparation for the new "Downsville Pike" Elementary School, which is currently under construction. When school attendance zones change, it may result in students attending different schools than where they are currently enrolled.
The Facilities and Enrollment Advisory Committee (FEAC) developed the following proposed Attendance Area Recommendations after reviewing enrollment projections, school capacity, transportation considerations, and future growth:
The FEAC presented the following 14 recommendations for attendance zone changes – each recommendation below includes the proposed attendance area change, the estimated number of students impacted, and the school attendance zone students would be assigned to beginning with the 2027–2028 school year.
NOTE: Families are encouraged to review all recommendations, maps, and supporting materials before providing feedback at the Proposed Redistricting Public Hearings.

*Please note that the proposed attendance zone changes affect an area where a residential development is planned but not yet built. As a result, there are currently no students living in this area who would be impacted by these changes.
