Birth to Kindergarten – Early Intervention

WCPS Birth-to-K program provides a collaborative approach to support young children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families.

What We Do

The Birth to K program is designed to support young children in being active and successful across a variety of settings:

  • Family-Centered Coaching: We put family needs first because you are your child's primary teacher. We work closely with families to help children make gains during daily routines
  • Primary Service Provider Model: We use a model where one professional serves as your main provider, with additional support from a full team through consultation
  • Professional Team: Our staff includes speech therapists, teachers, occupational and physical therapists, vision and hearing specialists, school psychologists, and social workers
  • Convenient Locations: Services are provided at no cost to the family. We meet you where you are, including at home, childcare, or community settings like libraries, playgrounds, or Head Start
