Google Takeout
Are You Graduating, Changing Schools Districts, or Starting Homeschooling?
If you are leaving Washington County Public Schools (WCPS), your WCPS Google account will be turned off after you leave. This means you won’t be able to access your school files anymore.
To keep your work—like documents, projects, or other files—you must move them to a personal Google account before you leave WCPS. Files can't be moved directly from a WCPS account to a personal one, but you can use a tool called Google Takeout to save them.
What is Google Takeout?
Google Takeout is a tool that helps you download your school account data, including:
-
Google Drive files
-
Gmail messages
-
Calendar events
-
Bookmarks and more
Using Google Takeout makes sure you don’t lose your important work after your WCPS account is turned off.

Important Reminders:
-
Be sure to do this before your last day of school. After your WCPS Google account is turned off, you won’t be able to get to your files or emails
-
You must use Google Takeout to save your files. Just sharing your school files with your personal account won’t work
-
The download might take a few hours or even a few days, depending on how many files you have
