Title I

WCPS currently provides Title I funds to eight elementary schools:
 

School-wide programs in WCPS are provided in schools where a high percentage of the children are from low-income families.  Each school-wide Title I school develops methods to serve the academic needs of all students in the school.  School-wide programs combine Title I funds with federal, state, and local funds to improve school programs.

In addition, children with disabilities, children who are homeless, children who are neglected or delinquent, and children with limited English proficiency may be eligible to receive Title I services.
