On June 16, 2026, the Washington County Board of Education (“Board”) approved the first reading of proposed changes to:

• Policy JHCF – “Epinephrine and Bronchodilator Availability and Use Requirements”
• Administrative Regulation BBFE-R – “Washington County Board of Education Ethics Regulations”

The Board’s Policy Committee (“Committee”) is seeking comments from the community at this time on the proposed changes to the policy and administrative regulation, which are attached.  You may submit your comments electronically or by U.S. mail on or before July 7, 2026, to the Board of Education at boe@wcps.k12.md.us or Washington County Board of Education, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.

In the event you need a hard copy of the policy or administrative regulation with the proposed changes, you may contact the Public Information Office at 301-766-2809.  The Committee anticipates submitting the proposed policy and administrative regulation changes to the Board of Education at its public business meeting on July 21, 2026, for the second reading and the Board’s final review and approval.
