On August 20, 2024, the Washington County Board of Education (“Board”) approved the first reading of proposed changes to Policy DJ – “Purchasing Standards.”

The Board’s Policy Committee (“Committee”) is seeking comments from the community on the proposed changes to the policy, which is attached.  You may submit your comments electronically or by U.S. mail on or before September 6, 2024, to the Board of Education at boe@wcps.k12.md.us or Washington County Board of Education, ATTN: Policy Committee, 10435 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.

In the event you need a hard copy of the policy with the proposed changes, you may contact the Public Information Office at 301-766-2809.  The Committee anticipates submitting the proposed policy changes to the Board of Education at its public business meeting on September 17, 2024, for the second reading and the Board’s final review and approval.
